Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a new, universal set of UN member states who will be expected to use specific goals and targets to frame the political agenda and policy objectives in the next 15 years. Furthermore, the program “Sustainable Develotpment Goals” was launched (in 2015) and where after the program of “Millennium Development Goals” (MDGs) which is launched in 2000, expired.
What are the some purposed of the “Goals”?
1) To reduce or end Poverty
2) To reduce or end Hunger, to achieve food security and to improve nutrition, and to promote sustainable agriculture.
3) To ensure people have a healthy lives and to promote well being for everybody for all ages.
4) To ensure there are inclusive and equitable quality education, and to promote and increase long terms education and learning opportunities for everyone.
5) To have gender equality and to empower all women and girls.
6) To promote and increase the sustainability and inclusively of the economic growth, to ensure that there were full and productive employment, and decent/accepted work for everyone.
7) To build resilient infrastructure, to promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation, and foster innovation.
8) To ensure that everyone must to conserve and sustainably to use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
9) To ensure everyone to protect, restore and promote sustainable for the use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification and halt and reverse land degradation, and halt biodiversity loss.
10) Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development.
