Poverty in Africa In Africa, there are Poverty everywhere. This can caused by people do not have enough money to buy sufficient food, For example, there were people who do not have enough income to buy food and drinks that they needed to consume, for themselves. In Africa, the population has been increasing rapidly, from 221 million to 1 billion, in 1950 to 2009. This rapid growth can lead to negative factors such as harmful economic systems and environments, conflict, and causing Poverty and hunger.
In Africa, there were also environmental challenges for the people, such as Erosion, deforestation and water shortages. This can cause to increase Poverty and Hunger by reducing people's income. One of the environmental challenges, Deforestation, for example, many people are seeking for many suitable places to live, farm, obtain firewood, by deforestation.
Based on the Statistics above, in 1980, there were poverty about 288 people struggling to earn money for food. There were rising of poverty from 288 people, to 326 people struggling in 1984. In 1987, there were poverty amount of 355 people, and there were poverty increasing on 1990, which is the poverty amount of 382. As you can see from the Statistics above, the amount of poverty keep increasing each year until the poverty amount of 516 people, in 2001 (which is the maximum range of years in the Graph).
